DENTAL FRONT DESK GUIDE

Plan your Dentrix connection.

Dentrix is among the practice systems supported by ACES Denti. We review your actual setup before confirming the connection and scheduling actions for your practice.

What does the Dentrix connection support?

ACES Denti’s PMS workflow reads available appointment times and writes configured bookings and appointment changes back to the practice schedule. AI-booked appointments and changes are logged for the team to review. For Dentrix, we check your exact product, deployment and appointment rules during discovery and testing.

A vendor name alone does not confirm compatibility with every edition or deployment. The walkthrough is where we review the version you use, the required access and any third-party connection services. We do not publish an unverified edition list or claim a vendor partnership.

Which Dentrix product does your practice use?

Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend are distinct products: the vendor describes Dentrix as server-based and Ascend as cloud-based. Bring the exact product name, version and hosting arrangement to your walkthrough. A connection discussed for one product should not be assumed to work with another.

ACES Denti lists Dentrix among its supported practice systems. That listing does not confirm support for every product in the Dentrix family, including Ascend or Enterprise. We confirm your actual product and the available scheduling actions before committing to an integration.

Vendor reference: Dentrix’s comparison of Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend. Ask your software or IT contact to help identify your installation if the product name is unclear.

What information should we bring?

  • Your Dentrix setup: exact product/version and whether it is hosted locally or through a provider.
  • Connection owner: the person responsible for permissions and your existing integration accounts.
  • Appointment rules: provider availability, visit types, duration, location and rescheduling rules.
  • Phone routing: your current number, phone system, coverage choice and staff/on-call destinations.
  • Existing services: any connector or third-party subscription already used by the practice. We confirm whether it is needed for the agreed workflow.

What should the joint test cover?

Test available times, a booking, a reschedule and staff visibility of the resulting change. Compare the outcome in Dentrix with the call summary in the Front Desk hub. Agree which exceptions should become follow-up work for staff and how your team will review them.

Do not assume that every practice system exposes the same actions or that every configuration prevents every scheduling conflict. We confirm the available actions and practice rules before go-live. If a connection is not ready, the built-in scheduler is a separate option to discuss; it is not evidence that changes are already syncing with your PMS.

What is included, and how long does setup take?

PMS integration is a platform feature included in Denti packages. Your quote confirms the supported connection, any third-party account requirements and any custom work or third-party costs that apply. There is no separate general platform setup fee or per-seat fee; billing starts when you go live.

Denti’s normal setup timeline is 2–4 business days after the discovery call. We confirm access and connection prerequisites for your practice. Denti’s dental quote defines its scope; other ACES Voice offerings may use different onboarding or package terms.

See all listed practice systems, review the setup process, or request a practice-specific quote.

Review your practice’s call flow.

Bring your practice software name, hours and an estimate of your call volume. In a 20-minute walkthrough, we’ll review coverage, software requirements and package fit.
